Nicaraguan delegation visits Newson Automation to foster cooperation in the China-Nicaragua intelligent food equipment industry.
A Nicaraguan trade delegation recently visited Chongqing Newson Automation Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Newson Automation") to conduct an on-site inspection and in-depth business discussions regarding a fully automated, intelligent pizza production line project. A dedicated reporting team from Chongqing Television (CQTV) covered the visit, producing a special news segment on this cross-border industrial exchange between China and Nicaragua. As a national high-tech enterprise and a Chongqing-recognized "Specialized, Refined, Unique, and Innovative" (SRUI) SME, Newson Automation was selected as a key representative of intelligent manufacturing enterprises for the delegation to engage with, thanks to its technical expertise and mature solutions in the field of intelligent food processing equipment.
The delegation first toured the company's manufacturing workshop to observe a live demonstration of the fully automated pizza production line's entire operational process. Integrating core procedures such as material conveying, automatic boxing, and visual positioning/inspection, the line enables highly standardized and intelligent, low-labor pizza production. This effectively addresses industry pain points associated with traditional manufacturing methods, such as low efficiency, inconsistent quality, and high labor costs. During the tour, the Nicaraguan representatives asked detailed questions regarding technical and commercial aspects—including production capacity, modifications for overseas operating conditions, and localized operation and maintenance services—and spoke highly of the equipment's level of automation integration and technical maturity.
Following the on-site tour, the two parties held a dedicated business meeting to engage in in-depth discussions on topics such as market trends for pre-made pizzas in Central America, cooperation models for exporting automation equipment, and plans for local project implementation and support. It is reported that, as the benefits of the China-Nicaragua Free Trade Agreement continue to materialize, Nicaragua implemented a zero-tariff policy on Chinese industrial machinery and equipment in May 2026, creating a favorable policy environment for domestic intelligent equipment to enter the local market. Drawing on the current state of Nicaragua's food processing industry, the team from Newson Automation presented a comprehensive service package—covering customized equipment modification, local technical training, and remote operations support—that resonated strongly with the visiting delegation.
During the visit, the delegation sampled finished pizzas produced by the intelligent production line. The consistent taste, standardized product quality, and efficient, stable production performance gave the overseas clients a firsthand look at the robust capabilities of Chinese-made intelligent equipment, prompting them to express a strong desire to pursue substantive cooperation.
This visit served as a significant, practical step for a Chongqing-based intelligent food equipment enterprise to engage with the Central American market; it not only established a bridge for industrial collaboration between China and Nicaragua but also opened up new market opportunities for Chongqing’s "smart manufacturing" sector to expand globally. A representative from Newson Automation stated that the company would use this exchange as a springboard to deepen technological innovation and service upgrades in the intelligent food equipment sector. They aim to actively capitalize on the dual opportunities presented by the "Belt and Road Initiative" and the China-Nicaragua Free Trade Agreement, facilitating the deep integration of Chinese automated equipment into Central America's food industry supply chain and supporting the high-quality opening-up of Chongqing's manufacturing industry.
